The Bagua Mirror consists of three concentric elements: an octagonal wooden frame inscribed with the Eight Trigrams of the I Ching, a round convex or concave mirror at center, and directional markers. In classical Feng Shui, it is placed above the front door facing outward to deflect Sha Qi — 'killing energy' — which can come from sharp rooflines, T-junctions, or neighboring buildings pointing directly at the dwelling. Important practice: Bagua mirrors are never placed indoors, as their deflective energy would disrupt internal harmony. The convex version disperses energy; the concave version absorbs and neutralizes it.
